Two Chinese and a Filipina were arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation that netted P6.8 million worth of suspected shabu, marijuana, and tablets at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig on Feb. 13.

The Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU)m together with the Taguig and Pasay police, conducted a buy-bust operation at about 10:30 p.m. in a parking lot at The Fort Strip in Taguig, resulting in the arrest of members of the Yang Drug Group operating in the cities of Taguig, Muntinlupa, Makati, Pasig, and Pasay.

The two arrested Chinese were identified by the police as Kun Yang, 26, male, and Yang Tao, 29, tagged by the police as high value individuals (HVI). Also arrested was Faith Suñiga, 18.

The police arrested the suspects after they sold one kilo of suspected shabu placed in a yellow and green plastic tea bag with Chinese characters for P1.2 million boodle money.

Other pieces of drug evidence seized were one plastic sachet containing dried leaves and fruiting tops suspected to be “Kush” marijuana weighing 9.5 grams, one plastic sachet containing 62 pieces of small and round red tablets, 38 pieces of small and round pink tables suspected to be Chinese Magoo/Magu, and two cars.

All the suspected illegal drugs were estimated to be worth P6.81 million, the police said. The suspects are detained at the RDEU custodial facility.
