Two 34-year-old men were behind bars Thursday night in connection with a countywide investigation into a string of more than 30 commercial burglaries that also turned up a clandestine cannabis growing operation, sheriff’s officials said.
The burglaries — the details of which were scarce Thursday evening — resulted in losses to San Diego County businesses totaling more than $130,000, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Kelly Moody.
One of the latest burglaries occurred at a business near Rancho San Diego and led sheriff’s detectives from the crime suppression team to identify two suspects, Moody said in a statement.
