More than 4,200 pounds of marijuana headed to a Nelson County community was confiscated by a drug task force working with state and federal partners.The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office posted Friday on Facebook that a large quantity of marijuana being shipped to Bardstown was seized earlier this week.According to investigators, the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force worked with Kentucky State Police, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to intercept the shipment.The teams found more than 4,200 pounds of marijuana in a freight shipment that originated in Canada and had a final destination of Bardstown.According to officials, the marijuana had a street value of more than $10 million.Additional details about the bust were not released.Nelson County officials said the investigation is ongoing. They said in the Facebook post that arrests are expected in the case.Anyone with information about suspected drug activity can call the task force at 270-769-0694.
