Five people were injured in a Fulton County medical marijuana plant explosion Wednesday afternoon, officials told several news outlets.

The explosion took place at a plant located at 3786 North Hess Road in Taylor Township around 1:30 p.m., the reports say.

Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Company Chief Darius Deshong told WJAC TV in Johnstown that the explosion took place in an incinerator room. He said two people were seriously hurt and flown to UPMC Altoona.

Crews from multiple counties responded to the scene, the story said.
