An Alabama man was arrested on Thursday after a large-scale investigation involving the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and multiple other agencies led them to discover over five pounds of marijuana, firearms and cash at an Alabama residence.
According to MCSO, investigators with the sheriff’s office special operations unit, Russell County Sheriff’s Office, Alabama State Bureau of Investigations and Ft. Moore Criminal Investigations searched two locations, one in Alabama and the other in Georgia. During the search, investigators found the following evidence:
- Nearly 5.5 pounds of Marijuana with an estimated street value of $25,390
- Two firearms
Authorities in Alabama took Desmond Scott into custody after the search and Scott was charged with first-degree felony possession of Marijuana and certain persons prohibitive (firearm)
MCSO says Scott has more charges pending in Georgia, and this case remains under investigation.
