A rural Josephine County man was arrested after allegedly shipping packages of marijuana to West Virginia and Louisiana that were intercepted by law enforcement, triggering an investigation.

Andy Choy Saepham, 33, used the Old Town Mail House shipping business next to the U.S. Post Office in downtown Grants Pass to send marijuana in October, November and December 2022, according to a probable cause affidavit.

The Josephine Marijuana Enforcement Team said it found more than 250 marijuana plants, about 3,000 pounds of processed marijuana, five guns and $6,000 in money orders during a Monday raid in the 3000 block of Leland Road west of the small community of Sunny Valley. The service of a search warrant at the site was part of an investigation into an illegal indoor marijuana grow and interstate drug trafficking, according to the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office.

Saepham, who court records show lives on Leland Road, was arrested and lodged in the Josephine County Jail. He remained in jail with bail set at $25,000 as of Tuesday, according to jail and Josephine County Circuit Court records.
