‘Bad idea’? Some Olivette residents say plan for new medical marijuana facility stinks | Local BusinessPosted by On

OLIVETTE — A prominent medical marijuana firm wants to put a new production facility here.

Some say it doesn’t pass the smell test.

A growing group of residents are worried Proper Cannabis’ new place will unleash noxious odors on nearby homes and threaten residents’ health. They plan to urge the Olivette City Council at its Tuesday meeting to slow its roll.

“It’s a bad idea,” said Kim Good, who runs a custom frame shop nearby. “I think the city is setting itself up for a bad situation.”

Proper Cannabis CEO John Pennington tried to offer some answers at the last Olivette council meeting.
