A Mississippi man was arrested after a traffic stop revealed more than 150 lbs of marijuana, 2 kilos of cocaine on Interstate 10 in Beaumont on Wednesday.
According to BPD, officers pulled over Jimario Holmes, 31, of Louisville, Mississippi for an unspecified traffic stop near mile marker 846 on I-10 heading east.
During the stop, a police dog indicated it smelled drugs in the vehicle, police said.
During a search of the vehicle, BPD said they found approximately 172 pounds of suspected marijuana, approximately 2.2 Kilos of suspected cocaine and a firearm.
Holmes was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful carrying of a firearm. Holmes is currently in the Jefferson County Jail.
