A drug dealer avoided jail after the church he joined sent a reference to court – with the tag line “Come Grow With Us”.
Mold Crown Court heard Christopher Jenkinson, 35, of Chester Road, Buckley , pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cannabis and possessing criminal property after his home was raided on February 19.
North Wales Police drug squad officers found a packet with 59 grammes of the drug with a street value of £590. Scales were also found in a kitchen cupboard.
Two mobile phones were also seized, along with an address book containing names with figures written next to them. There were two-way conversations on one phone which discussed buying cannabis.
Messages found included “Yes I’ve got the cannabis” and “No you haven’t got enough credit”, and figures in the address book amounted to £2,975.
