Police officers swooped on a suspected cannabis farm on St Albans Road, Smethwick seizing 150 plants.

As part of their high profile zero tolerance campaign West Mercia Police from Smethwick and Sandwell Police stations have raided addresses around the region.

The latest drugs raid this week saw police seize a significant haul of cannabis plants as well as specialist hydroponic equipment used to grow the Class B drug in mass quantities.

Smethwick and Sandwell Police posted images of some of the plants hauled from the property during Friday (23 July).

Police tweeted: “Smethwick Neighbourhood Officers executed a drugs warrant on St Albans Road where they found 150 cannabis plants.”
