Police responding to a suspected break-in at a home in Coventry got more than they bargained for as they found a cannabis set-up.

Over 150 plants were discovered at the address in Moseley Avenue, Coundon, on Tuesday night (December 8).

Those believed to be responsible for the break-in had fled before police arrived and no arrests have been made.

When contacted by CoventryLive, a spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “We discovered more than 150 cannabis plants after being called to reports of a break-in at an address in Moseley Avenue, Coundon, just after 10pm on Tuesday (December 8).

“The intruders had fled and enquiries are ongoing.”
