Thomas D. Way, of 134 Locust St., Jersey Shore, faces a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance plus two misdemeanor drug charges after authorities seized two pounds of marijuana in his residence when they executed a search warrant there on Dec. 11, according to a Lycoming Regional police affidavit. The warrant was filed after county probation officers paid a surprise visit at the house and detected “a strong odor of marijuana” in the home and then upon investigating further, discovered marijuana in a suitcase. Thomas, who turned 30 on Saturday, has also been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of three bags of “magic mushrooms,” a hallucigenic drug that also was found on the property, police said. Following his arraignment last week before Dieter, Way was released on $50,000 bail.
