SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The City Council will hold another night meeting on Tuesday, May 18 in order to involve more members of the public. The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. and will be held remotely. Instructions on how to participate are at the end of this story.
This week’s agenda includes:
Certificates of Appreciation – Heroes of COVID: City Council will honor “Heroes of COVID” and issue Certificates of Appreciation to community members, City employees, stakeholders, or other persons who have directly improved the lives, businesses, and future of our community throughout this pandemic.
Proclamation – Mental Health Awareness Month: The City Council recognizes that each business, school, government agency, healthcare provider, organization and citizen, shares the burden of mental health problems and has a responsibility to promote mental wellness and support prevention efforts. The City Council calls upon our community to increasing awareness and understanding of mental health, share steps our citizens can take to protect their mental health, and express the need for appropriate and accessible services for all people with mental health conditions.
