A drug dealer caught with thousands of pounds of cannabis and cocaine, was spared jail today.
Luke Arthur Davies Starkey, was stopped by police at St Asaph, on the A525, at about 7pm on January 31 2020, Mold Crown Court heard.
The 27 year-old, of Seabank Drive, Prestatyn, Denbighshire, was found to have cannabis and cocaine in the vehicle, he was also carrying £1,455 cash and a Samsung mobile phone.
Officers searched his home and found 21.8g of cocaine worth £872, 227g of cannabis valued at £2,340, bongs, scales, rolling papers and three weapons – a machete, a black metal baseball bat and a blow torch.
They also seized a written list and £1,795, said Nicola Williams, who was proseucting.
The total value of the cannabis in the car and at his home was £3,065 and messages on his phone “indicated he was involved in the supply of cannabis,” Ms Williams said.
He admitted three charges of possession with intent to supply cannabis, possession of cocaine and being in possession of criminal property – £3,250.
The court heard, Starkey claimed he was a heavy cannabis and cocaine user, who sold “a small amount of cannabis” to his friends, to sustain his habit, said Ms Williams, but that was “not accepted,” she said.
