BAYOU CORNE, La. (BRPROUD) – Kaitlyn Marie Landry, 26, of Belle Rose, and Gary Cox, Sr., 27, of Belle Rose are both behind bars after a recent search of a home on Highway 70 South.

On Tuesday, deputies tried “to execute felony domestic related charges on Gary Cox, Sr.,” according to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Landry was the first person that deputies saw when they arrived at the home.

Deputies had to wait for a search warrant before entering the home.

Before deputies entered the home, Landry confirmed that Cox, Sr. and some firearms were both located inside the home.

APSO said that the Belle Rose natives “Kaitlyn M. Landry and Gary Cox, Sr. are both convicted felons and are prohibited from possessing firearms.”

During a search of the home, deputies found drugs, guns and Gary Cox, Sr.

Cox, Sr. and Kaitlyn Marie Landry were taken to the Assumption Parish Detention Center after their arrests.

Kaitlyn Marie Landry:

  • Possession of Firearms by a Convicted Felon – 2 Counts
  • Possession of Heroin
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Aiding and Abetting Others to Enter / Remain on Premises Where Forbidden

Gary Cox, Sr.:

  • Possession of Heroin
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Domestic Abuse Battery Involving Strangulation with Child Endangerment
