Police have discovered an £186,000 cannabis farm in Wolverhampton.

The force raided a property in the Graiseley area of the city and discovered a drug factory, equipped with cannabis plants and specialist lighting equipment.

Around 186 plants were seized from the address on Sunday afternoon (December 13).

The St Peters Police team took to social media to share a picture of the saplings found during the drug bust.

The post read: “The team have executed another drugs warrant this afternoon on the Graiseley Ward. Approx 100 cannabis plants have been discovered at the address! “

The team later added: “186 plants* after a final count.”

In the UK, cannabis is categorised as a class B drug which will result in penalties for those found in possession, dealing or producing the substance.

Police can issue a warning or an on-the-spot fine of £90 if you’re found with cannabis.

Tell-tale signs of a cannabis factory include:

*A strong, sweet, leafy odour coming from an address.

*A constant low humming noise.

*Windows blacked out or curtains drawn all day.

*Large silver ducting tubes coming from the property.

*Powerful lights on at night.

*Residents not living at the premises full time, only visiting for short periods.

*Fertiliser regularly being taken to the property.
