Cops seized £100k worth of cannabis and a machete from a car on the M5.

Police stopped the vehicle between junctions 4 and 3 near Bromsgrove yesterday (Thursday, October 15) after reports it had been involved in a violent burglary.

After an inspection of the vehicle, officers found cannabis stashed in bags as well as a machete and several crowbars.

West Mercia Police has confirmed that two occupants of the car have been arrested.

A police spokesperson said:  “Vehicle stopped M5 Junc 4-3 using #TPAC tactics after a report that it had been involved in a violent burglary an hour previously.

“Two occupants arrested after £100k (street value) amount of cannabis was found inside the vehicle, several crowbars and a machete.”

In other police news, a Redditch man has been charged with possessing a submachine gun and ammunition after a police swoop on the M5.
