More festive markets will be held at Nundah on Station Street from 4pm on December 3, South/City/SQ Christmas markets will be on December 4 from 10am at Woolloongabba, Gasworks design markets will be on December 10 from 4pm to 8pm in Newstead and on the same day, Queensland Museum will have a market from 9am to 3pm.

Portside Wharf will have a Twilight Christmas market on Sunday, December 18 from 3pm, featuring more than 50 stalls to browse, live music, a food truck and free ornament painting workshops ahead of its boat parade.

And Queensland Ballet’s performance of the whimsical Christmas tale The Nutcracker has opened two more shows after the season almost sold out.

This is set to be Queensland Ballet’s longest season, with 26 shows across three weeks.

Queensland Ballet artistic director Li Cunxin AO said more shows would meet the demand.

“We’ve been sharing the magic of the season with Brisbane audiences for 10 years now and it is very
special for Queensland Ballet to be part of so many family traditions,” he said.
