While Michigan voters approved the use and possession of recreational marijuana last November, the Chippewa County Board of Commissioners made it clear on Thursday that the forbidden weed is not welcome at the Chippewa County Courthouse or any other county-owned property.

Resolution 19-02, unanimously approved by the county board, confirmed that the new state law does not change policies prohibiting the use or possession of marijuana on any property leased of managed by or on behalf of Chippewa County.
