Court news: Woman sentenced for Hydrocodone, marijuana waxPosted by On

According to court records, on June 26, a White Earth police officer pulled her over on Pow Wow Highway for expired registration. He told her he smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and she admitted she had weed, pulled a bag from her right front pocket, and gave it to the officer.

He said he still smelled marijuana, and she pulled another bag of marijuana from her left front pocket and gave it to the officer. She and a passenger were asked to exit the vehicle and empty their pockets, and she handed over a jar of marijuana wax.

A search of the vehicle turned up a bag in the back seat containing her medications and what appeared to be two more jars of marijuana wax. Told she was under arrest, she tried to give her wallet to the passenger. The officer asked for it, and at the jail found 19.5 Hydrocodone pain pills in the wallet. The marijuana totaled 8.2 grams.

On Dec. 22, District Judge Gretchen Thilmony stayed adjudication and continued the case.
