The dangers of marijuana and its effect on individuals was the focus of a special Red Ribbon Week assembly held Nov. 1 at Wagoner Middle School.
Andrea Rooks, MS CPS Training Specialist II with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, provided a brief overview of Oklahoma’s new marijuana law and discussed the drug’s dangers in a presentation made appropriate for middle school age students.
Rooks stressed to the youth that there are cases where people have died from marijuana use as it can impair judgment. WMS Principal Jeremy Holmes concurred.
