Police were working to identify the origin of cannabis-laced sweets which put 13 students at a top Catholic school in hospital.

The female pupils at La Sainte Union Catholic School in Highgate, north London, fell ill yesterday morning after eating the sweets, believed to have contained THC, during morning break.

Some are thought to have spent the night at a hospital in Barnet although none were “seriously unwell”.
