Draft Ordinance to regulate marijuana operations is available for reviewPosted by On


On March 17, 2020, the San Juan County Department of Community Development will brief the county Council on draft regulations related to marijuana operations. A 65-page staff report posted on the San Juan County website contains the draft ordinance. Click on https://www.sanjuanco.com/DocumentCenter/View/19879/ 

Staff will be checking with the County Council to ensure that the draft reflects their preliminary direction.

This table lists the different land use categories and if and under what conditions marijuana production and processing are allowed. C means its a conditional use, N means Not allowed, C 17 means marijuana processing is  only allowed on RFF and AG parcels if the production is on the same parcel. RGU-Rural General Use, RR-Rural Residential, RFF-Rural Farm Forest, RI-Rural Industrial, RC-Rural Conservancy, AG-Agricultural, FOR-Forest, C-Conservancy, N-Natural
