OGDEN — Police arrested a man for suspected DUI and child endangerment on Sunday after a 911 caller reported a toddler was hanging out of a driver’s side window.

According to a probable cause statement, Ogden police said they arrested Dominick Ludwick, 24, after finding him passed out in the driver’s seat of the car, the engine still running. Officers found a 2-year-old girl standing on the front passenger seat and returned her to her mother.

Police said they interviewed people at the scene, near the intersection of Washington Boulevard and 13th Street. Those witnesses said the toddler was trying to wake up the driver and at one point she was hanging out of the window. A child safety seat was not buckled in and was found leaning against a passenger side door.

Officers booked Ludwick into the Weber County Jail on suspicion of class A misdemeanor marijuana DUI, third-degree felony child endangerment and class B misdemeanor refusal of a chemical test.
