The remains of a large scale marijuana growing set-up sits in a rubbish skip outside an address raided by police.
Four people have been arrested in relation to an alleged cannabis-growing operation in Auckland.
On Friday, Counties Manukau police undertook six search warrants at properties across the city targeting the “significant” operation, Detective Inspector Chris Barry said.
One of the raids took place at a townhouse on Houkura Way in Sandringham, where a rubbish skip full of growing equipment and the dregs of a marijuana crop were left behind.
As a result of the raids, 1131 cannabis plants were seized, as well as a kilogram of dried cannabis.

Barry said four overseas nationals were arrested and charged with drug-related offences.
They have since appeared in Manukau District Court and were remanded in custody until they reappear in court on April 27.
“The police asset recovery unit attended the search warrants and is assessing the offending with a view to restraining properties tainted by this commercial operation,” Barry said.
