More than 200 plants have been seized after police raided a large cannabis factory in Leamington.

Officers forced entry to a property on Brunswick Street at around 3pm on Friday October 16 and searched it.

The raid saw police seize 239 cannabis plants.

They also arrested a  55-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.

He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

The operation was carried out by Warwickshire Police’s Leamington Safer Neighbourhood Team.

This latest discovery was made following an investigation into another cannabis farm in Leamington on St David’s Close last month.

That operation saw two men aged 36 and 46 arrested and released under investigation.
