IONIA — After an extended discussion about proposed landscaping, dumpster placement, the loading zone and traffic control on a driveway shared with a neighbor, the Ionia Planning Commission gave its conditional approval Wednesday to Michigan Provisioning Center’s site plan.

Ionia City Manager Jason Eppler reminded commissioners they granted a special land use permit for the business, which is to be located at 420 S. Steele St., in the former home of Ionia Auto Glass, at their Aug. 12 meeting. They had also begun a preliminary review of the site plan for the project.
