Iowa deputies seize 300 lbs. of marijuana, arrest 3Posted by On

FREMONT COUNTY, Iowa (WOWT) – Deputies in Fremont County, Iowa seized about $2.8 million worth of marijuana Friday morning.

A 2017 Chevy Coachman RV was stopped by sheriff’s deputies near the 4-mile marker of southbound Interstate 29 for several moving violations around 2:40 a.m.

A K9 detected controlled substances in the vehicle. Deputies recovered around 300 pounds of high grade marijuana estimated to be worth $2,880,000.

Richard Jordan, 65, of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Elwood Perry Jr., 44, of Chesapeake, Virginia and Patrick Hawes, 45, of Norfolk, Virginia were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver….
