A host community agreement with Natick is signed, paving the way for a possible location in MetroWest
NATICK — A Florida company that tests marijuana for safety and quality may be on its way to establishing its first Massachusetts location in Natick.
On Wednesday night, the Select Board voted unanimously to sign a host community agreement with Kaycha Labs. Based in Davie, Florida, Kaycha has eight testing labs in seven states — Colorado, Florida, California, Kentucky, Oklahoma, New York and Tennessee.
“I am rooting for (Kaycha Labs), and I hope they find great success in Natick,” said board member Michael Hickey.
Kaycha still needs a special permit from the Planning Board and sign-off from the state Cannabis Control Commission to locate in an industrial park at 16 Tech Circle.
