It’s understood police have uncovered a significant cannabis operation in Christchurch.

Police have uncovered what is believed to be a large cannabis operation during a series of raids on Christchurch properties.

Stuff understands police have arrested three people.

Officers could be seen searching two neighbouring properties on Kellys Rd in Mairehau just after 11.30am on Wednesday. Officers were also seen at a property on nearby Bronwyn St, which was also believed to be linked to the alleged cannabis operation.

The two properties are owned by Antony Thomas Cole.

Detective Senior Sergeant Joel Syme said police had visited five properties across the city on Wednesday.
