PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A juvenile who didn’t have a driver’s license has been arrested following a traffic stop in which law enforcement alleges he disposed of a loaded handgun and marijuana.

The Parke County Sheriff’s office reports that the stop occurred Monday in the area of US HWY 41 and County Road 900 in southern Parke County. The arrested person’s identity is not being released due to being a juvenile.

A Sheriff’s deputy reported that they spotted the driver of the car throw a bag out of the driver’s window as it was turning onto CR 900 S. Officers eventually located the bag and found it to be containing a loaded handgun and marijuana.

The male juvenile driver was then arrested and charged with operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license, carrying a handgun without a license, possession of marijuana and obstruction of justice.
