We need to figure out how to deal with this because I just feel like it’s getting worse, instead of better.”Police set up around the the business and found the man scaling the interior walls, while concealing himself in the roof, allowing himself access to all adjacent business. Officials said the suspect inside refused to come out.”It’s really careless, for anyone to break into a property, it’s a bad idea in the first place, but it really disrupted a lot of Albuquerque for a good amount of time today,” said Gilbert Gallegos, an APD spokesperson. “It is expensive. It takes a lot of resources, a lot of man hours.” A SWAT team was called in which had Menual closed between Jefferson and Washington all morning. “At some point they did introduce chemical ammunition into the facility, after that the offender still at one point slammed the door on them, so they knew he was in there taking evasive action,” Gallegos said. Police were eventually able to get to the suspect. He was handcuffed and arrested around noon, and walked out of the building. Police said he was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, but will be OK. Police are working to identify the suspects.
