A man has been arrested after police discovered a suspected cannabis factory in Tipton.
The planned drugs warrant took place this morning (Friday, November 8), on park Lane East at around 7.30am.
Police say a large quantity of illicit plants were seized during the raid and a 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drugs cultivation.
The force tweeted: “The team have executed a drugs warrant this morning on Park Lane East Tipton – large cannabis set up located and one male now in custody!”
Along with the tweet, officers also shared an image of the plants found and damage to the door from where they gained entrance to the property.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: “Police have arrested a 37-year-old man on suspicion of drugs cultivation following a planned drugs warrant at an address on Park Lane East in the Tipton area of Sandwell just before 7.30am this morning (Friday, November 8).
“Officers seized a large quantity of cannabis plants.
“The man remains in police custody this afternoon as enquiries continue.”
