A BRADFORD man has appeared in court after being caught with a bag of cannabis in a district supermarket.

Yaser Khan, 26, of Park Hotel, faced one charge of possession of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis/cannabis resin.

He was found in possession of one small bag of cannabis, at Asda, Bingley Street, Keighley, on February 12, 2022.

Khan was fined £40, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for the offence.

The cannabis will also be forfeited and destroyed by police under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

Khan pleaded guilty when he was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on March 15, 2022.
