A man has been jailed after a large cannabis factory was discovered in Coventry.

Police raided a property in Rookery Lane, Holbrooks, last month and discovered around 650 cannabis plants on Saturday, September 12.

A photo posted on social media by police shows officers removing numerous bags stuffed full of the class B drug from the address.

An arrest was also made and Alexande Zyberi was later charged by West Midlands Police with producing a class B drug.

Zyberi, 42, of no fixed address, appeared at Warwick Crown Court today (Friday, October 30) where he entered a guilty plea to the charge.

He was then sentenced at the same hearing and was jailed for 15 months.

Zyberi was also ordered to pay a £156 victim surcharge, which goes to organisations who support victims of crime.
