A man’s blazing row with his new wife in the street inadvertently ended up leading police straight to his drug dealing.

Swansea Crown Court heard Christopher Paul Cooper was seen arguing with his other half on the steps of her house in the Penlan area of Swansea before entering the property and retrieving a number of items, which he placed in a Ford Galaxy vehicle. The pair had only tied the knot three months previously.

Police were called but by the time officers arrived, the defendant had gone.

However, the people carrier was still parked outside the house and in the boot officers found a large quantity of cut cannabis.

The court heard a search of the Heol Cadifor property found a cannabis-growing set up including lights, ventilation, and a watering system along with 19 recently pruned plants.

The father-of-four was subsequently located and arrested, and in interview admitted cultivating cannabis saying he preferred to grow it himself rather than buy it from dealers. He said the…
