An ad for a company that sells marijuana on display at the Colisee in Lewiston left some patrons upset.The Colisee often hosts local youth sports, and the ad for a medical marijuana shop Strawberry Fields drew complaints.”It was an ad for a medical marijuana facility with a picture of a strawberry and a marijuana leaf,” Colisee general manager Mike Cain said.The imagery of pot leaves had some patrons concerned that it could influence children.Cain said the arena responded to the concerns.”It’s definitely is an awkward position, and I feel for my customers,” Cain said.Cain said the ad was removed as soon as he received the complaints.”We contacted the business who sponsored and asked them if they could redo the artwork to be a little less offensive,” Cain said.The ad will be redesigned to only include text, which is similar to other medical marijuana dispensary advertisements at the arena.
