ESTEVAN — A traffic stop, initiated in central Estevan on Feb. 24, resulted in the male driver failing a THC test for marijuana. His license was suspended for 60 days, and his vehicle was impounded for three days. He was also served violation tickets as a result of driving with only a class 7 license.

The same day members attended to various retail locations and other establishments on reports of an unwanted male inside. The male was spoken to about all occasions and sent on his way without further issue.

Members attended to a northcentral establishment on the report of a female refusing to leave when asked to. The female was spoken to on police arrival and left without further issue.

On Feb. 23, police received two separate reports of thefts. One from a gas station and the other from a grocery store. Video surveillance was obtained, and both matters are under investigation.

Police also received a report of a criminal harassment matter which has resulted in further investigation.

Police received a report of a fraud over $5,000. Further investigation determined that the issue was civil in nature and not a police matter.

The same day, members were dispatched to a central Estevan convenience store on the report of a possible assault that had taken place. An individual was spoken to, and it was determined that no assault actually occurred. The intoxicated male was transported to EPS where he was lodged in cells…
