A masked knife gang forced their way into a city home to steal part of cannabis haul worth over £50,000.
The five balaclava-clad men broke into a property in Kelvin Road, Turves Green late at night on Wednesday, September 9.
The burglars, one of whom was armed with a knife, fled with plants in a white Vauxhall Insignia at around 10.20pm.
As officers arrived on scene, they discovered £50,000-worth of cannabis plants growing ‘all through the house’.
One neighbour said: “The house was burgled by five men in balaclavas in a white Vauxhall Insigina in Kelvin Road.
“The police have found a cannabis farm. They have kicked off the front door and grown cannabis all through the house.”
West Midlands Police appealed for information as the force revealed officers had seized 50 cannabis plants from the burgled address.
A statement from West Midlands Police read: “We were called to reports of a burglary at a house in Kelvin Road, Birmingham at around 10.20pm on Wednesday (9 September).
