These are the shocking scenes as police found a ‘substantial’ cannabis factory – after being called out to reports of a burglary.
Hundreds of cannabis plants were discovered when Stechford A Unit Response officers were called to a property last night (Thurs).
Footage shows the huge haul had filled two rooms.
The location of the cannabis factory is unclear.
West Midlands Police Force response posted a video on Twitter showing the floor of a room totally covered by cannabis plants.
Force Response tweeted: “Stechford A Unit Response attended reports of a burglary in progress to find it was an attempted burglary of a different kind. Substantial cannabis factory located. All thankfully to be destroyed.”
They also issued a plea advising landlords to do checks on their properties. Reconnection work carried out at the property was going to cost around £5,000.
Force Response posted: “Stechford A Unit Response Officers who attended reports of a burglary that turned out to be a cannabis factory advising landlords to do checks on their properties.
“This property will cost about £5000 to be reconnected by @wpduk due to dangerous bypassed electrical supply.”
