Nebraskans for Medical Marijuana report they have obtained the number of petition signatures needed to qualify for the November ballot.
Campaign Manager Crista Eggers tells KLIN News, “At least 5,000 more Nebraskans need to go out today, first thing this morning and sign to push us over the required amount and assure we have the necessary signatures to make this on the ballot.”
Co-Chair Anna Wishart says in the past six weeks, signatures went from 40,000 to 87,000.
The group has until noon Thursday to get the additional signatures. Signatures need to be turned into the Nebraska Secretary of State’s Office Thursday.
