NSW government to consider congestion tax for Sydney CBDPosted by On

The NSW government will consider implementing a congestion tax for Sydney’s CBD as part of an overhaul to the state’s transport network, according to a document obtained by 9News.

The report suggests speed limits on inner-city streets could be reduced to 30 kilometres per hour to make roads more appealing to cyclists and pedestrians.

NSW Minister for Infrastructure, Cities and Active Transport Rob Stokes recently confirmed the government has not endorsed the proposed tax.
