SEYMOUR — Over 100 weed plants were seized during a search warrant at a local home where law enforcement officers also found thousands of rounds of ammunition and more than a dozen guns, police said.

Detectives from the Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force – Northwest Office and Seymour police served a narcotics search warrant at a Squantuck Road home around 6 p.m. Tuesday, state police said.

Police got the warrant after an investigation into a report of an alleged illegal grow operation of marijuana on the property. State police said detectives seized over 100 marijuana plants in “various stages of growth” from the home.
