CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan – An estimated PHP240,000 worth of dried marijuana leaves were seized while 28 individuals were arrested in a series of operations by Bulacan police on Wednesday and Thursday.

In his report, Col. Rommel J. Ochave, acting Bulacan police provincial director, said two large bricks of dried marijuana leaves were seized by Malolos police from Bryan Torres, of Barangay Caniogan on Wednesday.

“Also confiscated from the suspect’s possession were three pieces of suspected shabu including a buy-bust item, backpack, medical receipt, and buy-bust money,” Ochave said in an interview.

Ochave said separate anti-drug busts by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Bocaue and Sta. Maria resulted in the arrest of three drug peddlers who yielded 14 sachets of shabu, a transparent case, a coin purse, and buy-bust money.
