Police have charged a teen and a youth in relation to a downtown Edmonton cannabis store armed robbery in January.

Around 9:15 p.m. on Jan. 29, two male suspects reportedly entered a shop on Jasper Avenue with a firearm and a machete, the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) said in a Friday release.
Police said one staff member was held at gun point and another was threatened with a machete while allegedly being forced to put cannabis products into a bag. The suspects fled the scene and neither of the employees were injured.
On Thursday, March 17, EPS executed search warrants at multiple locations in relation to the investigation and the two suspects were arrested, police said. The EPS said two firearms, ammunition and other evidence were seized.
Victor Corcoran, 19, is facing 14 charges including two counts of possession of a weapon obtained by crime, two counts of possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition readily accessible and two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, police said, while the youth is facing eight charges including two counts of robbery and two counts of disguise with intent.
