These are the potentially deadly weapons police found after a high speed car chase through Birmingham.

A meat cleaver and machete were found in the foot well of an Audi which was allegedly used during a robbery at a cannabis factory, police said.

The drama began on Stratford Road in Sparkhill last night (Wednesday) and ended on the Gospel estate in Acocks Green.

Police used a stinger to stop the car before a foot chase – which resulted in an officer ‘being sick on the pavement’ after the lengthy pursuit.

Traffic officers from West Midlands Police said they got involved in the pursuit of a stolen car which had been allegedly ‘used in the robbery of a cannabis factory’.

Police chased the car in a “high speed pursuit” through the streets and two stingers were also thrown across the road to stop the car in its tracks.
