Police seize over P300,000 marijuana, ‘shabu’ in QC buy-busts – Manila BulletinPosted by On


The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) seized more than P300,000 worth of alleged shabu and marijuana in six separate buy-bust operations in the city on Friday, Feb. 17, and Saturday, Feb. 18.

The anti-illegal drug operations was launched by members of different QCPD stations who also apprehended 12 drug peddlers.

QCPD Novaliches Station (PS 4), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – National Capital Region (PDEA-NCR), arrested Alvin Reyes, 21, of Barangay Gulod, Novaliches after he yielded around two kilograms of suspected marijuana worth P240,000 on Saturday.

The buy-bust operation against Reyes was launched by the PS 4 operatives on San Ignacio St., Villareal, in Brgy. Gulod at around 2 a.m. on Saturday.

Police also confiscated an eco bag, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money from Reyes.

Meanwhile, the police stations in Anonas, Project 4, Kamuning, Holy Spirit and Project 6 also recovered P73,440 worth of alleged shabu and collared 11 suspects on Friday and Saturday.

All the suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
