An uninsured driver has been arrested after being caught by police while on a ‘romantic night out’.
The 23-year-old man was in Scout Road, Bolton, when police spotted him in the early hours of this morning (Friday October 1).
Officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) found the man to be under the influence of cannabis and he also had a bag of cannabis next to him in the car.
Police also found out that the car belonged to the driver’s dad and that the driver was not insured on it.
The man then allegedly lied about his age, telling police he was 60-years-old, before he was arrested and the car was seized
GMP Bolton North issued a warning on social media following the arrest.
At 3.46am, a spokesman wrote: “If you’re planning a romantic night out on Scout Rd, it’s probably best if you’re not under the influence of Cannabis, be in your dads car that you have no insurance for, don’t have a bag of Cannabis by your side and definitely don’t say you are 60 when you are…
