Recreational vs Adult UsePosted by On

Bubble Gum StrainI hear the term recreational vs adult use in cannabis, and I am incensed that the enemies of cannabis have taken over our terminology.  When asked why they use recreational cannabis, the respondents always give medical reasons for use.  Why not call this use as adult use.  You don’t say “I’m going out for a recreational drink of alcohol” do we?  It is known as adult use of alcohol, so why not refer to adult use of cannabis by its correct term.

The enemies of legalization want to make one think that they are doing something spurious with the use of the term recreational.  Don’t let them win this fight as words mean different things.  Recreational cannabis use should be called adult use of the substance.  Period.  It’s also a way of getting extra tax revenue out of the users.  Don’t buy into this terminology.
