KINGSTON – A second Alberta-based company is looking to open a cannabis store in the city.

Fire & Flower has applied to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario for permission to open a store at 75 Brock St.

Eastern Ontario has been allotted five stores. Lottery winners can decide to open a store in either Ottawa or Kingston, Belleville, Barrie, Peterborough or Kawartha Lakes.

So far, two of the five eastern Ontario stores have been proposed for Kingston. Last week, Spiritleaf announced plans to open a store at the intersection of Princess and Ontario streets.
